EVERYONE DESERVES A FRESH START.
Destination Clean aims to aid with the daily hygiene to those in need and to support local, national, and international charities on a consistent basis. We aim to obtain hygienic products from the private and business communities and coordinate distribution through charitable organizations. Our goal when providing these services is to facilitate the recipients' highest level of personal integrity.
GOOD HYGIENE - GOOD MENTAL HEALTH
We believe in the role of good hygiene in supporting mental health; when people feel clean they can begin again.
And we believe everyone deserves a fresh start.
We believe in promoting good health within communities for the betterment of all who reside in it. By providing people the means to simply wash their hands, we are lessening the spread of illness and promoting the general welfare.
We believe in helping to restore individuals' dignity so they can begin their life again. We respect the privacy of our benefactors and those who benefit from our services.
We believe that the involvement and investment of others in the community will benefit all society. This investment starts with the simple question: "How can I help?".
The president of Destination Clean is Sean Maseng who formed the non-profit at only 15 years old. Sean started a project during his progress toward becoming an Eagle Scout, making an effort to collect hygienic products and distribute them to charitable organizations for those in need. To his amazement, he was able to collect 2,000 lbs of these products and they were quickly absorbed into the community. In order to continue along this path, the company was formed as a 501c(3).
He enlisted family and friends to help, but he determined that the need for these products far exceeds his current ability. He now needs to raise funds to meet community needs on a consistent basis. His plans include increasing personnel, number of locations, and amounts of supplies.
Destination Clean has already identified a local need and is currently working with local communities, we support Lutheran Social Services of Southern Nevada, Community Health Improvement Plan, and Nevada Homeless Alliance.
The number of hygiene kits being assembled is growing exponentially with an increase from 3,650 kits in May 2018 to 10,350 kits in October 2018. This rapid growth is a result of donations of hygiene items, services, and grants, as well as involvement from volunteers.
